This two-player game is a variation of four-in-a-row.
The game board consists of 25 “wells” on
a five-by-five playing board. Each well is three
levels deep to accommodate a small, medium or large
disk. Each player starts with 12 disks: 3 large,
4 medium, and 5 small. At each turn a player may
either place one of his or her disks anywhere on
the game board, or move one large disk that is already
on the board to a new position. A small or medium
disk may never be moved from where it was originally
placed; only a large disk may be moved. The winner
is the first player with four disks in a horizontal,
vertical, or diagonal line.
One game can be completed
in about 10 or 15 minutes, so it's possible to play
repeated games in a short time in order to test various
strategies. A compartment beneath the game board
stores all the playing pieces.
